This is John Clipperton ,  husband of Amelia Dennis Bayne and the father of Wm. H..  John and Amelia had nine children Amelia Sedgwick, Sibyl Hurlock, John Russell, Agnes Anne, Robert Charles, Elizabeth Russell, Isabella Angell, George and William Henry. Son George went to Australia and started that line, sisters Isabella,  Amelia and Sibyl went to Australia also and were followed there by the parents John and Amelia. John Russell remained in England and was a witness in England's weak claim for Clipperton Island in 1897. Robert Charles and later his son Charles Bell Child were in the British consulate office, stationed in many parts of the world including  the U.S.  Robert Charles is listed in both Who's Who  of America and England during the mid 1920's issue's. This interesting family seems to have aspired and achieved beyond that of most Clipperton's of that time.
